"Is your Salvation Secure?"
Hebrews 6:4-6, John 10:28-29
Our vision at Roanoke Avenue Baptist Church is to make disciples for Jesus Christ and offer our assistance to them as they continue to grow in their walk with Him. It is always great when we see the people inside the church, but it is truly a blessing when we see the church inside the people. We Believe in Salvation by Grace alone. We believe that Baptism symbolizes being buried to our old nature and being raised in the newness of life through Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Bible is the inerrant word of God.
We record our services each week and upload them to our church's You Tube page on Tuesday morning's. We have hundreds of videos that we hope you will enjoy watching.
I am Pastor James Bergquist with my wife Sharon. We have been married since 2012 and love serving our Lord together. I've studied with The Institute of Biblical Studies at Rainbow Forest Baptist Church and through Liberty University at 17th Street Baptist Church where I was licensed. I've also enjoyed being a Sunday school teacher, Deacon, and church choir director in several local churches. I am continuing my education through Dallas Theological Seminar. I was ordained at Roanoke Avenue Baptist Church in January 2013 where I am blessed with a very fulfilling ministry. I love our Lord Jesus Christ and I am so thankful for the talent that He has given me musically. I enjoy playing the guitar and singing to glorify His name. Being a pastor, myself along with my wife, we both work diligently to help encourage people of all ages in their walk with Jesus Christ. We also love visiting people in our local nursing homes. We are so grateful for our nursing home ministries at Magnolia Ridge, Springtree, Berkshire, Snyder and Friendship Manor Nursing Homes. God calls us to love, serve, and be obedient to His following. We would love to invite you to our Church. We believe that you will feel better about yourself and your relationship with God more so leaving the Church than you did when you came in.
